Rabbi Joel N. Abraham's First Day

Dear Berith Sholom Family,

Thank you for welcoming me on my first day as your interim rabbi.  I am looking forward to working with you to make this year of transition both calm and supportive, as well as inspirational.

As I am working hybrid, I am in New Jersey now, but will be heading up on Friday to celebrate Shabbat and the Fourth with you. (Spoiler - thats' the d'var/discussion theme.) If you are in town, I hope that you can join us for the potluck and service.

I will be in town through the next week. I would love a chance to talk to you and get to know you (and your family). Please let me know if you would like to meet and your best times - Tuesday through Friday.  (Monday will be my day off, and I'll be running around getting to know the area.)  Or, you can always look for me at the Farmers' Market this Saturday - I'm told it's the place to be. Of course, I won't get there until after Torah Study (9:30am).

If you need to get in touch with me at any time, feel free to reach out by e-mail (rabbiabraham@berithsholomtroy.org). In case of emergency, you can call or text (908 899 1239 - just let me know who it is in the text). I will be available full-time, and can call or meet on Zoom even when I'm not in Troy, so don't hesitate to reach out.

As we say whenever we finish one book of Torah and move on to the next - chazak, chazak, v'nitchazeik - strength, strength, and may we strengthen ourselves,

Rabbi Abraham
